On September 5th we travelled from Venice to Florence by train. We spent three nights in this beautiful city, and saw only a small fraction of what we would have liked to. We visited the beautiful Uffizi Gallery where we got a nice view of the Ponte Vecchio and the Vasarian corridor which leaves the Uffizi, runs above the shops on the Ponte Vecchio, and leads to the Palazzo Pitti. We also climbed to the top of the Duomo, and this was an amazing experience for me–definitely one of my favourite from the trip. Afterwards we visited the History of Science museum which had a great collection of scientific equipment took a stroll across the Ponte Vecchio.
